The Women’s Assembly of the Denizli Metropolitan Municipality City Council continues to support women through its Handicraft Market, which it operates to enable women to participate in production and contribute to their family budgets. The market, which has long supported productive and entrepreneurial women with their handcrafted, labor-of-love products, will continue to welcome Denizli residents on August 21 and 28. Established under the leadership of the City Council Women’s Assembly and located in Atatürk Park, the market features hand-knitted items, baby and children’s products, jewelry, decorative items, needlework, lace, amigurumi, and bridal trousseau items, as well as custom-made items produced on request based on residents’ needs. With the support of the Denizli Metropolitan Municipality, the market—which is seeing its membership grow day by day—not only strengthens women’s participation in social life but also contributes to household economies by turning their handiwork into income.

The Handicraft Market, ongoing at Atatürk Park, offers Denizli residents a pleasant shopping experience while also serving as a key platform where women can showcase their creative talents. By shopping directly from producers, citizens not only have access to more affordable products without intermediaries but also gain a true appreciation for the value of labor. The Denizli Metropolitan Municipality invites all citizens to the Handicraft Market, where the finest examples of handcrafted work will be showcased, in the spirit of solidarity.
