The Metropolitan Municipality, which continues its efforts with the goal of creating a healthier environment, is also continuing to combat factors that directly or indirectly affect public health. Efforts to combat flies and pests—which pose a significant public health problem, particularly during the summer season—are being carried out nonstop in 17 districts with 244 personnel, 90 vehicles, and 366 pieces of equipment.
Working
day and night
As part of operations carried out in collaboration with the Directorate of Veterinary Affairs and Tarım Peyzaj AŞ, more than 190,000 breeding sites are periodically treated with insecticide. During the day, teams identify mosquito breeding areas and carry out larvicide spraying at specific intervals; in the evening, they conduct vehicle-mounted spraying using ULV devices. The Bursa Metropolitan Municipality also immediately dispatches teams in response to requests received at the call center to ensure a swift and effective response.
Operations Continue
Uninterrupted
Noting that pest control operations against pests threatening human health are continuing uninterrupted across 17 districts, Metropolitan Mayor Mustafa Bozbey stated that teams are intensifying their efforts in designated areas during both daytime and evening hours. Stating that they are acting with a mindset that prioritizes public health, Mayor Bozbey thanked the teams working selflessly in the field and noted that requests received at the call center are being addressed immediately.
