Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu, who stated that they are effectively combating the increasing numbers of mosquitoes, houseflies, and various pests as the hot weather sets in, said, “A clean environment both prevents the proliferation of pests and ensures a healthier life. “As the summer months arrive, our efforts to combat pests and mosquitoes become even more critical. To ensure our residents enjoy a healthy and comfortable summer, our teams are conducting pest control operations in two shifts—day and night.”
Through efforts in parks, gardens, trash containers, and wetlands, we are preventing the breeding of flies, mosquitoes, and harmful pests. In our spraying operations, we use products approved by the Ministry of Health that do not disrupt the natural balance or harm human health. Our teams routinely conduct pest control between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. and between 7:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. Residents can rest assured that we are working day and night in the field. “We have all the necessary vehicles, technical equipment, and experienced staff. I would like to thank my colleagues for their dedicated efforts,” he said.
Mayor Palancıoğlu noted that spraying operations will continue regularly according to the established schedule and emphasized the importance of residents taking care to keep their surroundings clean.
