Strong Support for the Smart City Transformation in Muğla

The project, prepared under the coordination of the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality’s Department of Foreign Relations and Smart City and Urban Information Systems, includes a two-day training program for municipal staff and the development of the city’s 2026–2029 Smart City Strategy.

As part of the project, municipal employees will first receive comprehensive training covering smart city components, alignment with the national strategy, best practices, and integration processes. Following the training sessions, consulting activities will be carried out to conduct a current status analysis, hold stakeholder meetings, administer online surveys, define a vision, and identify priority focus areas. As a result of these efforts, the “Smart City Strategy and Roadmap (2026–2029)” will be prepared, containing concrete project proposals for Muğla in the areas of digitalization, sustainability, urban mobility, environmental management, and quality of life.

The project’s outcomes will strengthen Muğla’s green transition, digital infrastructure, data-driven decision-making mechanisms, and intra-city coordination processes; they will also contribute to enhancing the technical capacity of municipal staff.
