At Muğlaspor, which was promoted to the Trendyol 1. Lig this season, 23-year-old forward Yasin Uzunoğlu made his mark in the club’s history. Yasin, who scored both goals in Muğlaspor’s 2-0 victory over Boluspor in the league’s fourth week, became the first player in club history to score a goal in the 1. Lig.
Another first took place in the same match: Yasin Uzunoğlu also became the first Muğlaspor player to celebrate a goal at Muğla Atatürk Stadium, which opened its doors for the first time in the 1st League. The young forward played a leading role in the club’s first victory in this league.
He wasn’t even considered for the roster last season
Yasin’s story shows just how quickly things can change in a single season. Last season, the player—who wasn’t considered for Muğlaspor’s Second League roster—was loaned to the Third League team Karşıyaka. There, he rediscovered his form, scoring 13 goals in 25 matches.
Returning to Muğlaspor this season, Yasin has played in all six league matches, spending a total of 328 minutes on the field. This means he averaged approximately 55 minutes per match, indicating that the coaching staff views him as a player who will start in most matches or come on early in the game.
